Video Advertising and Marketing On The Web
Friday, 16 January 2009
By Simon_M Skinner

Video advertising on the web has become the popular choice of the typical marketer. What is video advertising on the web and why is it so popular? Let's look at what makes this form of marketing go.

Video advertising on the web is exactly what it sounds like. You use a video to promote your product or service via the internet. People from all over the world can simply click a button and watch you and your product in action. This means that you can reach an audience that you wouldn't be able to reach otherwise.

Why exactly has video marketing become so popular? The main reason is the success of popular video sharing sites like YouTube. If you've never heard of YouTube, you should probably think about getting another place of residence besides that rock that you've been living under (there are some great deals to be had on real estate with all of the foreclosures out there). YouTube is a huge website that was recently added to the Google juggernaut and is the video sharing site of choice for

What I Wish I Had Known About Websites When Just Starting My Business
Thursday, 15 January 2009
By Ingrid Cliff

I have been around computers for years, but only really started to embrace websites in the past 5 years.

As I have learnt and grown there is a pile of stuff that I wish I had known about websites when I was first starting out. Recently a number of start-ups have been asking my advice for beginners, so here are a few of the things I wished I had known when I was starting.

1. Domain names and web hosting are two different things

Starting from the simplest things. Your domain name is just like your registered business name. It is the name of your business on the web. It can be your regular business name or it can be your keyword or keywords.

Your web hosting is the electronic equivalent of the landlord who leases you office space for your business. Your web host is the location where your business lives.

The other big lesson about domain names and web hosts is it pays to shop around. You can and will save thousands per year by doing

How to Succeed in Internet Marketing Without Your Own Website
Wednesday, 14 January 2009
By ReyM

  The Internet "Gold Rush"

You can't escape the internet. People are flocking to it in multitudes, and fortunes are being made "from nothing" like breeding mosquitoes in a pond. If you've been aware of all these but thought that you just were not "ready" to cash in, this article may prove you wrong.

You've undoubtedly watched the "dot.com boom" and the "dot.com crash." You've undoubtedly heard stories of overnight "dot.com" millionaires. In fact, some people who started their own "e-commerce" online venture just 2 years ago sold it months after to Barnes & Noble, for 64-million dollars.

Can you do this, too? Well, its not for me to say. It all depends on you . . .

You may have also watched "dot.com millionaires" go broke overnight, and what the "cleansing" of all this has done to the economy, while some idiots actually named their newborn son "Conrad.com" last year! If you're like me, you're sick and tired of even hearing "dot.com."

But none of that matters now, because this article is not about some "dot.com daydream" . . .

Is Site Submission to Directories Useful?
Wednesday, 14 January 2009
By Gabe

Some pontificate that Directory Submission is a Waste of Time

In the beginning there was the trading of reciprical links. Then Google found them and began ignoring reciprical links. After that wikis and blogs popped up and damaging SPAM forced wide spread use of the NoFollow tag.

After reciprical linking came direcotries of websites. Currently some state that directories are ignored by Google too and that we get nothing for the time and effort we put into submitting to hundreds of directories.

I've submitted 2 sites to web directories. This doesn't make me a pro but my experience has been basically good. (In case you are interested I use Directory Submitter.)

My Directory Submission Experiences

I run a very technical engineering wiki in a narrow niche. As a result I was being mostly ignored by Google in favor of Wikipedia. Then I submitted my website to approximately 350 web directories over the course of a few days (10 minutes here, 10 minutes there until it was complete).

After submitting my site to the

Article Marketing As Part Of Your Daily Routine Online
Tuesday, 13 January 2009
By Connie Ragen Green

Article marketing can be used successfully to promote your own products and services or affiliate products. Think of every article as another valuable asset in your tool chest as you begin to build your online empire.

The majority of my articles are about the work I do online, including teaching others how to write eBooks, blog posts, and special reports, as well as how to use the technology needed to be successful online. Every time I write an article about one of these topics, thousands of potential readers have the opportunity to visit my site and connect with me further.

The other articles I write are used strictly to market someone else's products or services, so I receive affiliate commission when someone reads my article and then makes a purchase. Article marketing is the best way to make affiliate commission, and I have done extremely well with this method for about two years now.

Marketing your articles needs to become part of your daily routine. I schedule time to write articles about the products and services I want to promote, whether

Directory Submission Gets You Lots Of Page Rank Benefitting - Inbound Links
Monday, 12 January 2009
By Gabe

As the search engines are evolving each and every day, it's getting more difficult to get top search engine rankings.

The search engines now, gravitate towards websites that have a significant number of quality, one way DoFollow links referencing them. As a result, it's absolutely necessary that we consistently try to get other websites to link to us, WITHOUT a link pointing back.

Reciprocal linking is becoming almost meaningless. Submitting your website to website directories is a convenient way to receive, quality, 1 way DoFollow links referencing your websites. Most of the online directories have a high amount of page rank and have been online for a long time.

Page rank and site age are two of the most important variables in the determination of a good link vs. a bad link. A large number of these directories have both a high Page Rank AND age, giving them more authority and power in the eyes of the search engines designers.

Not only that, but there are literally thousands of website directories on the internet that are absolutely free for you to

Marketing a Product Using Online Video
Monday, 12 January 2009
By Simon_M_Skinner

Promoting a product through a video is a lot easier than many people think, and once you have the hard work done of shooting and editing the video you are ready to upload and start spurring some interest. One of the best ways to get the viewers eyes on your project is to get those press releases out there. In the world of online advertising, a press release is your personal viewing invitation to the powers that be.

Lets take this a step at a time so you can see just how simple a press release actually is. First, you need to create more than just mild curiosity by snapping out a title that describes just what you are advertising. You want your product to be a hit right with the title and you dont have to smother the title in words, just a proactive title that is positive and direct so any editor knows exactly what product you have in play. A subtitle can always be added that gives a little more information but this isnt really necessary.

Just because you have

5 Free Ways to Build Your Brand
Sunday, 11 January 2009
By seomul Evans

If you own a small business, you may have already given up on the notion of branding yourself. After all, that's something that only big companies with big budgets can afford, right? Not so fast. Here are 5 ways to brand yourself for free, and maybe even make a little bit of money in the process:

1. Develop for Display. If you can create visual brand that stands out from the crowd and looks hip and edgy, you can actually get people to pay you for the privilege of displaying it. Extreme sports companies like surfing, skating, and snowboarding companies have been doing this for years. The challenge is in creating something striking enough that people not only want to buy it, but also want to display it so that others will see it as well. You'll find that people will gladly display something that looks cool, and that others will even pay you a small fee to display your brand for you.

2. Label Everything. Add your logo to the things that your customers already buy from you. If you're

5 Traits of Successful Internet Marketers
Sunday, 11 January 2009
By seomul Evans

Given the rise in popularity of internet marketing, wouldn't it be great to know exactly what it takes to be successful at such an endeavour? Here are 5 traits of successful internet marketers. How do you measure up?

1. Broad Knowledge Base. A successful internet marketer should be, at the very least, a well-rounded person. He should have a wide base of general knowledge and be able to use that knowledge to his advantage by drawing on it to come up with new and innovative ideas. Critical thinking and problem solving skills are a must since the prime tasks involves analyzing problems and finding solutions to them.

A background in English is particularly helpful since a successful internet marketer must be a master with words and know how to tell and use stories. A successful internet marketer understands design and how humans are influenced by what they see. He must understand basic human motivation and behaviour, so a rudimentary understanding of psychology is key.
Finally, a successful internet marketer understands interpersonal relationships, and how those relationships function given the rise of social

Online Video Advertising vs. Other Advertising Methods
Saturday, 10 January 2009
By Simon_M_Skinner

Online video advertising is one of the most economical ways of gaining name recognition in todays media driven world. It is also one of the most successful and is becoming more widely used every day. These Web based videos are quickly managing to replace the more traditional forms of advertising such as billboards, newsprint ads, magazine advertisements and even television ads.

One of the biggest features used to attract users to the online world is the fact that they are instantly able to connect with a vast, global audience on a daily basis. This ensures them of being able to reach the largest amount of potential customers in the shortest possible amount of time. As everyone knows, it is the early bird (or advertiser) that can lay claim to the largest share of profits.

With mass produced print ads and televised campaigns the market is still limited and how many are actually being read or seen is sometimes hard to determine. This is not a problem to the online advertisers because they know that their products and services are being seen by

Friday, 09 January 2009
By John Meatte

Have you procrastinated in introducing your network marketing team to the Internet marketing arena? If so, you are doing them a disservice.

The World Wide Web offers excellent opportunities for network marketers to build their business. Free online marketing workshops are the way to go to show them how businesses can thrive online.

Teaching your downline team about expanding to the Internet is best facilitated in a structured workshop setting. In the comfort of their own homes, network marketers can learn the nuances of Internet marketing.

Many of them, used to one-on-one physical marketing may be unsure of what online marketing entails. This is your opportunity to teach your downline the most productive ways to build their business online.

Online training workshops allow you to present your training modules in an engaging way. You can use text, pictures, audio, video, and flash effects. You can give information in MP3 form for download for later use.

MLM marketing workshops online are less cumbersome then renting a hall and setting up DVD equipment and the like. It's also easier for participants to

The 4 Levels of Link Building
Friday, 09 January 2009
By seomul Evans

SEO experts and internet marketing professionals know that the key to high search engine rankings is link building. They will also tell you that link building is not all that easy until you have done it for awhile, and that there are so many techniques for link building that It is hard to sort them all out. Here are the 4 levels of link building to take you from novice to expert.

1. Do It Yourself, Quick and Easy. The easiest links to build are those for which you do not have to rely on anyone but yourself. The easiest way to do this is to submit your site to directories. Simply submit your URL, the name of your company, and a short description of your company. Know before you begin that directories are managed by humans, so you may not see results right away. Also know that some directories require a small fee for your listing.

You should also use social media as a way to get links to your page. SEO experts do not find these crucial to success, but they

3 Steps Towards a Great List-Building Squeeze Page
Thursday, 08 January 2009
By Mike McCoy

A squeeze page (aka an opt-in page) is the number one list-building tool in every Internet marketer's arsenal. Here are three essential things you should do with every squeeze page to make it effective.

Focus on one response. Your squeeze page should be all about getting people to sign up for your list. Period.

This means you're not also trying to sell a product or get them to click on any contextual advertising. Nor are you trying to get readers to visit your home page.

You'll want to reflect this in the copy. It should mentally direct your reader towards putting his or her name and email address into the form and clicking the "submit" button.

This should also be reflected in your layout and design. The only ways your reader should be able to navigate off the page should be by hitting either the "submit" button or clicking the "no thank you" link.

Things like affiliate links, contextual ads, or links to other sites give your prospect an opportunity to do something

3 Reasons List Building is Important for Your Affiliate Marketing Business
Thursday, 08 January 2009
By Mike McCoy

List building is important in almost every niche there is. Why? Because a list helps you sell to people who haven't bought from you yet, helps you make more money off of people you've already sold to, and helps you build trust and credibility with your niche customers.

List building helps you sell to people who haven't bought from you yet. It's a long-standing rule in marketing that the average consumer needs to see a marketing message at least seven times before he or she acts on it. A list should expose readers to at least fifty-two marketing messages (and more if your niche will support mailings two, three, or four times a week; this varies from niche to niche, and even list to list).

Make money online by selling to previous customers. You'll spend 5-7 times as much time and money selling to a new customer as you will selling to an existing one. This fact alone is reason enough to invite first-time customers to your list.

A major resistance factor in selling anything online

Why Internet Marketing Provides the Perfect Opportunity for the New Entrepreneur
Wednesday, 07 January 2009
By Mike McCoy

The world of Internet marketing provides the perfect opportunity for anyone who has ever wanted their own business but doesn't have much in the way of starting capital. It's also a field where an individual can actually outperform large corporations! How is this so?

To begin with, you don't need much money to start out in Internet marketing. The way most Internet marketers start to make money online is through the affiliate marketing model. This involves making commissions off of products owned by other people or companies.

All you really need for this is a website. Domain names cost less than ten dollars a year, while basic hosting can be found for about seven dollars a month. Time and focus are the primary costs you'll have to pay when you first start.

That being said, there are plenty of affiliate marketers who make a full-time living while working less than twenty hours a week. You can make money at this working part-time as long as you are consistent with your efforts and treat

Tips For Effectively Dealing With Email
Tuesday, 06 January 2009
By Ben Needles

You have your online business. Sales are good. Your marketing campaign is bringing in new customers your business is growing. You are receiving emails about your service or product now what?

Someone who emails you has an interest in your business. To delay a response or ignore this person would be the start of your business decline. This may not happen immediately but eventually word of mouth would get around that you do not care for your customers or potential customers. This will then lead people to go somewhere else for their purchases. Some tips for effectively dealing with email.

Try and answer email within 24 hours. The maximum time frame you would want is 48 hours. To accomplish this you will want to set aside time each day just to respond to emails. Some say three times a day, morning, mid afternoon, and evening is best as it ensures everyone gets a timely response.

Make sure you are courteous and professional. There are occasions when you do not have the time to answer a

It provides a refreshing perspective that is much related to define blogging and in some manner related to identity theft technology, golf blog, and easy blog or creates web blog. It isn't the same old kind of information that you will find elsewhere on the Internet relating to define blogging. Let me give an example here of an affiliate program that usually works quite well for both low traffic webs logging sites and high traffic sites. For more results login on to www.adsense-dollar-factory.com. This is the Google Adsense program.

By focusing on high value Adsense keywords a low traffic site can do just as well as a high traffic site that really doesn't bother so much about attracting high value Adsense ads on their sites using the right keyword phrases in their content. Make friends with your competitors, use your colleagues and encourage your employees or partners to write articles for your blog. Again, give them the benefit of the link. Top Seven Ways To Generate Traffic!
Sunday, 04 January 2009
By Patricia Bradford

Article Marketing is a very powerful method of getting traffic to your website. You simply write short articles about things you know about, or even write about something you need to learn about. Then you submit your article to article directories. You don't actually promote your business in the article itself, that is what the resource box is for. Once your article is accepted by the directories it is available for other people to use in their ezines or on their websites, but they have to keep the resource information with the article, which can generate a lot of traffic for your website. Well written articles can increase your website traffic dramatically over time.

Search Engine Optimization is very important when marketing on the internet. SEO can improve your ranking because the higher your page rank, the more visitors you will have and the likelihood of more sales you will make. Optimizing generally means editing a website to increase its relevance to certain keywords that will allow your web page to have a high ranking.

THINGS TO AVOID WHEN MAKING YOUR ONLINE VIDEO ADVERTISEMENT
Saturday, 03 January 2009
By Simon_M_Skinner

When making on online advertising video, there are several things that you need to be careful to avoid in order to insure optimal success.
